About Restylane

Restylane is a hyaluronic acid implant that is injected directly into the skin to help reserve and restore a youthful looking skin. It is manufactured by Q-med, a Swedish pharmaceutical company.

Restylane is available in 4 forms:

• Restylane - For treatment of wrinkles, lines and lip enhancement.
• Restylane FineLine - for the correction of thin lines around the forehead, mouth and eyes.
• Restylane Perlane - for correcting deeper folds around the usual areas.
• Restylane Touch - used to enhance the border of the lips and diminish vertical lines along the upper lip.

More than 2 million treatments have been carried out successfully since the launch of Restylane in 1996. Adverse reactions are very rare and thus Restylane was the first hyaluronic acid gel substance to be approved by the FDA, having met all its stringent safety criteria.
